Refund & Cancellation Policy

01 General Policy

Hobio operates on a prepaid subscription basis. By purchasing a subscription, users gain access to the platform’s organized matchmaking system, leagues, tournaments, rankings, and related services for the selected subscription period.

As a general rule, subscription payments are non-refundable.

Refunds are not provided for:

  • Lack of personal availability
  • Scheduling conflicts
  • Temporary inability to play
  • Dissatisfaction with match outcomes
  • Skill-level differences between players
  • Missed matches caused by the user
  • Voluntary account inactivity
  • Change of personal circumstances

02 Subscription Cancellation

Users may cancel the automatic renewal (if applicable) of their subscription at any time through their account settings.

Cancellation prevents future billing but does not automatically generate a refund for the current active subscription period.

Users will continue to have access to the platform until the end of their already paid subscription term unless the account is suspended or terminated under the platform rules.

03 Injury Freeze / Subscription Pause

In cases of verified injury or medical inability to participate, Hobio may, at its sole discretion, temporarily pause a user’s subscription.

To request a subscription pause, the user may be required to provide:

  • A medical document or doctor’s confirmation
  • Reasonable proof of inability to participate in sports activities

If approved:

  • The player account may be marked as inactive temporarily
  • The remaining subscription time may be preserved
  • Access may later be restored with the unused remaining subscription period

Hobio reserves the right to review and approve or deny each request individually.

Minor discomfort, temporary pain, self-reported injuries without documentation, or short-term inability to play do not automatically qualify for a subscription pause.

04 Exceptional Refund Requests

Refunds may be considered only in exceptional circumstances and remain entirely at the discretion of Hobio administration.

Examples may include:

  • Severe long-term medical conditions preventing participation for an extended period
  • Critical platform-related failures where the user repeatedly receives no reasonable participation opportunity despite active engagement
  • Other extraordinary situations reviewed individually by the administration

Approval of any refund request is not guaranteed.

05 Abuse Prevention

Hobio reserves the right to deny refund or pause requests in cases of suspected abuse, manipulation, false documentation, repeated misuse of the system, or attempts to exploit the platform policies.

06 Administrative Discretion

All refund, pause, cancellation, and exceptional-case decisions are made by Hobio administration at its reasonable discretion.

Platform decisions regarding refunds and subscription freezes are final unless otherwise required by applicable law.
